Local Resident Wins Flat Screen TV from North Chicago Community Bank!
The North Chicago bank location recently held a “Shop Local, Bank Local” promotion in an effort to support the local merchants of North Chicago, and encourage residents to spend their shopping money locally. Residents were encouraged to bring their shopping receipts from local merchants from November 1st to December 23rd, 2009 to the bank lobby, and a raffle slip was given for each eligible receipt. The drawing was held on December 24th and North Chicago resident, Brian McCarthy, was the winner. He was chosen from the entries as the lucky recipient of a 32” Flat Screen LCD TV just in time for the holidays! Mr. McCarthy lives near the bank and is a customer. He had lost all of his receipts that he planned to use to enter the raffle, so he went to the local convenience store and bought a roll of paper towels so he would have at least one chance to win, and that was all it took! He explained, “I currently own a five year old, 19” TV and I’m so excited to watch my favorite show, Animal Planet, on this TV. This is the first time I have ever won anything and it only took 65 years to do it!” Congratulations!
